Day 3: August 1st, Tue. Visit to Amerta Indah Otsuka, Accompanied to their promotional activity

In the morning, we visited the office of Amerta Indah Otsuka which has been supporting our study tour. Students had an
opportunity to introduce themselves and also they were able to share their goals in this study tour. President Mr. Bando made an encouraging speech to the students and he taught them the importance of communication and the hints to achieve their goals.

３日目：８月１日（火）アメルタインダ大塚訪問，販促活動同行

この研修で大変お世話になっているアメルタインダ大塚（AIO）の本社ジャカルタオフィスを午前中に訪問。生徒たちは自己紹介を兼ねて，それぞれ今回の研修における目標を発表。板東社長からは，海外で異なる文化や価値観を持つ人たちとコミュニケーションを図るときに大事なことや，何かを成し遂げるときの大切なヒントなどについてご講演頂いた。

In the afternoon, the groups were divided into two and joined the promotional activities. Group 1 observed the event practice sampling of the Independence Day (Aug. 17th) with SMA Al Azhar BSD H.S. at Tangerang City Hall Square.

午後からは，２グループに分かれて販促活動に参加。グループ１は，SMA Al Azhar BSD高校とタンゲラン市役所広場で独立記念日（８月17日）行事練習時のサンプリングを視察。

Group 2 first visited the Islamic international school called SMA GIS Serpong as a beginning of their promotional activity. From kindergarten to high school, they all gave us a warm welcome. During the exchange session, Joto H.S. students made a presentation in English and SMA GIS Serpong students all wore stunning cultural costumes and showed us their traditional dance. After the session, they spoke in English while they were observing the school. Next, we visited the futsal field and observed the promotional activity performed by AIO staff and students passed a bottle of POCARI SWEAT to the football team members.

グループ２は販促活動としてまずSMA GIS Serpongというイスラム系のインターナショナルスクールを訪問。幼稚園児から高校生までが通う非常に大きな学校で，温かく歓迎してくれた。交流会では，城東生は高校についてのプレゼーテーションを英語で行い，SMA GIS Serpongの生徒たちは美しい衣装を身にまとい伝統舞踊を披露してくださった。その後の校舎案内の時間には，生徒たちは互いに英語で会話し，交流を深めた。次に訪れたのはフットサルの練習場。AIOの職員の方々が販促活動をするのを見学し，フットボールの選手たちにポカリスエットを配った。

 

 

Day 4: Aug. 2nd, Wed. Transferred to the City of Marang, Visit to the factory of Kejayan, Observation of Eco-Village

In the early morning, we transferred from the capital, Jakarta to the city of Marang, located at the east side of Jawa Island by air. From the afternoon, we had a lecture regarding AIO’s company philosophy, CSR activities, and the IoT in the company. During the factory tour, we could witness interesting tricks that make the visitors fun, and we could learn the process of product making that includes the consideration towards the environmental protection. In the premise, there was a mosque compound which can be used by not only the employes but by the local residents in the community.

4日目：８月２日（水）マラン市へ移動，クジャヤン工場訪問，エコビレッジ視察

早朝，首都ジャカルタからジャワ島東部のマラン市へ空路移動。午後からAIOのクジャヤン工場を訪問。AIOの企業理念やCSR活動，社内のIoTについてお話を聞かせて頂いた。また工場のツアーでは，参加者を楽しませる工夫が至る所に取り入れられており，環境へ配慮した製品製造について楽しく学ぶことができた。敷地内にはモスクもあり，社員だけでなく地域住民も利用できるそうだ。

We also visited an eco-village that has been working as a community contribution activity. Volunteers run a garbage collection site in a village just a short walk from the factory. It functions to raise residents' awareness of garbage separation and recycling. There was still a lot of garbage on the roads around the eco-village, but it seems to have decreased considerably compared to before, so the effect seems to be visible.

地域貢献活動として取り組んでいるエコビレッジも視察した。工場から歩いてすぐの村にゴミ収集場所を作り，ボランティアが運営。ゴミの分別やリサイクル等にについて住民の意識を高める機能を果たしている。エコビレッジ周辺の道にはまだまだゴミが落ちてはいたが，以前と比べるとかなり減っているそうで，その効果が大きいことがわかった。

 

 

Day 5: Aug. 3rd, Thu. Visit to Brawijaya Smart School (environmental workshop)

We had a chance to visit Brawijaya Smart School (BSS), which has been interacting online for the past two years. Like any other high school, you will be warmly welcomed. The 16 exchange program participants introduced themselves. This was followed by presentations on environmental issues in Japan and their efforts. Students tried to make the presentation easy to understand for people with different cultural backgrounds by including videos. Class experience in the afternoon. Divide into groups of three and participate in English, physics, history, and other classes. Unlike in Japan, all the classes were centered on activities, with the students taking the initiative. Through such classes, it seems that students' independence, active attitudes and attitudes, and ability to think are nurtured. After school, they went to their host families, and we received a warm welcome here as well.

５日目：８月３日（木）ブラウィジャヤ・スマート・スクール訪問（環境ワークショップ）

２年前よりオンラインで交流を続けているブラウィジャヤ・スマート・スクール（BSS）を訪問。他の高校と同様，熱い歓待を受ける。交流プログラム参加者16名とまずは自己紹介。続いて日本での環境問題やその取り組みについて発表。動画などもまじえて，文化的背景の違う人にもわかりやすいプレゼンを心がけた。午後からは授業体験。３人ずつのグループに別れ，英語，物理，歴史などの授業に参加。どの授業も日本とは異なり，生徒が主体となり活動中心の授業が展開されていた。このような授業を通して，生徒の主体性や活発な姿勢・態度，思考力などが養われているようだ。放課後は，それぞれホストファミリー宅へ。ここでもまた熱いおもてなしを受けた。

 

 

Day 6: Aug. 4th, Fri. Visit to Brawijaya Smart School (cultural exchange activities)

On this day, we went to school with our host family. Some of the students experienced commuting by motorcycle, which is common in Indonesia. Approximately 200 BSS students gathered in the spacious hall, and even before the event began, it was full of enthusiasm, and the expectations of the BSS students were conveyed. Beginning with the traditional dance of this region by BSS students, followed by cultural introductions by Joto students. An interactive presentation was made by interweaving quizzes about Japan, Tokushima, and Joto High School. Awa Odori and Soran Bushi are also performed. Song performance from BSS high school was made. At the end of the ceremony, they all danced and sang the songs that they are familiar with together! At the end, everyone took a commemorative photo. After that, while reluctant to say goodbye, we left BSS High School later than planned from Surabaya Airport to Jakarta Airport, then flew to Japan.

６日目：８月４日（金）ブラウィジャヤ・スマート・スクール訪問（文化交流活動）

この日はホストファミリーと一緒に登校。インドネシアでは一般的なバイク通学を体験した生徒も。広いホールにBSS生約200名が集まり，始まる前から熱気に溢れ，BSS生の期待感が伝わる。BSS生によるこの地域の伝統舞踏で始まり，続いて城東生の文化紹介。日本・徳島・城東高校についてクイズなどを織り交ぜながらインタラクティブな発表を行った。また阿波踊りやソーラン節なども披露。BSS高校からは歌のパフォーマンス。インドネシアでも知られている日本の歌をみんなで大合唱！エネルギー溢れるライブ・パフォーマンスだった。最後はみんなで記念撮影。その後，別れを惜しみながら，予定より遅い時間にBSS高校を出発。スラバヤ空港からジャカルタ空港へ。そして日本へと飛び立った。

 

 

Day 7: Aug. 5th, Sat. Return to Japan

Arrived at Narita Airport at 7:35 am and then changed the plane to Tokushima Awa Odori Airport via Haneda Airport. We were able to complete the training without any major problems. What they have learned through this study tour will be treasures for the rest of their life.

７日目：８月５日（土）帰国

午前７時３５分，成田空港に到着。羽田空港を経由して徳島阿波おどり空港へ。大きなトラブルもなく全員元気に研修を終えることができた。この研修をとおして学んだこと，経験したことや多くの人との出会いは，一生の宝になるだろう。

Day 2 : July 31st, Monday. Visit to ASEAN Japanese governmental representatives and SMAN 3 High School

In the morning, they politely visited ASEAN Japanese governmental representatives and had a meeting with Mr. Tamura, the first-class secretary and Mr. Yamazaki, the deputy minister of Japanese embassy. They discussed the relationship between and Japan and Indonesia, as one of the Asian countries as well as the difficulties to aid foreign counties. Additionally, in the relaxed atmosphere, they had talked about their life as students and how the students can decide their future path.

In the afternoon, they visited SMAN 3 High School, which is truly active as Otsuka Eco Blue School. There was a heart-warming welcome at the school, where they had a red carpet from the school entrance to the venue! The student-centered welcome ceremony included the National anthem singing, traditional dancing, and the school introduction of each school. All the participants brought up the ceremony and had a fun time! They listened to the school introduction that was made in fluent English. The short stay at SMAN 3 High School made them feel like they wanted to stay a little longer.

At night, there was a dinner reception with President Bando and Ms. Nakata, from Amerta Indah Otsuka (AIO), President Fujimoto from Widatra Bhakti, Mr. Emoto from Mitsui Co., and LTD., and Mr. Yanase, a GM of AIO manufacturing engineering. They could enjoy the tasty local Indonesian food along with the conversation with the guests who have unique and diverse personalities.

 

2日目：７月31日（月）ASEAN日本政府代表部とSMAN３高校訪問

午前中にはASEAN日本政府代表部を訪問し，一等書記官　山崎氏と在インドネシア日本国大使館次席公使の田村氏と懇談。日本とアジア・インドネシアの関係についてや海外の国を援助するときの難しさなどの専門に関することだけでなく，学生時代の苦労話や進路選択についてなど，ざっくばらんにお話をしていただいた。

午後からは大塚Eco Blue Schoolとして活発に活動しているジャカルタのSMAN３高校を訪問。校門から会場までレッドカーペットの熱い歓待に感激。生徒が主体となったセレモニーは，国歌斉唱，民族舞踊，お互いの学校紹介プレゼンテーションなどで構成され，参加者全員が楽しみながらイベントを盛り上げていた。またSchool Tourでは，環境に配慮する取り組みを流ちょうな英語で説明を受けた。短時間の訪問ではあったが，高校生同士意気投合し，後ろ髪を引かれる思いでSMAN３高校を後にした。

夜はアメルタインダ大塚（AIO）の板東社長や中田氏を始め，ウィダトラバクティ（大塚製薬輸液部門現地法人）藤本社長，三井物産　江本氏，AIO生産技術ゼネラルマネージャー　柳瀬氏らを囲んで夕食会。個性的な方々からそれぞれ興味深いお話を伺いながら，美味しいインドネシア料理を頂いた。
